Both the Red River Valley Chapter of the American Guild of Organists (RRVAGO) and the American Guild of Organists (AGO) national society offer a broad range of educational resources. Below is information concerning these resources:

Private Instruction Offered by the RRVAGO

Michael Olson, Dean of the RRVAGO and minister of music at First Lutheran Church in Fargo, is available to give you private organ and piano lessons. 

Musicologist and theorist Dr. Jean Hellner is available to provide individual instruction in music theory and piano to prepare students who aspire to study music in college.

Instruction Offered by the AGO

The national American Guild of Organists provides instruction and educational materials for all organists, from beginners to seasoned professionals.


In addition to resources such as webinars and online educational videos, the AGO provides ways to earn achievement awards.


Members may also participate in the AGO certification program, the purpose of which is to achieve professional certification in specific performance skills.
